Description

Are you a woman wrestling with how to think and communicate biblical truth regarding sexual issues?

Join the women’s staff of Harvest USA as they present this one day seminar which provides practical training to think biblically and minister graciously to sexual strugglers. We will discuss God’s design for sexuality, how patterns of sexual and relational sin develop, and discover biblical wisdom regarding the discipleship process.

Session 1 Sexuality and Women: God's Design and Gospel Hope

Sexuality is an aspect of who we are as women created in the image of God. He designed our sexuality and relationships to be experienced in whole, healthy and healthy ways according to the wise boundaries he has established for both married and single women. What are the specifics of God's design and how does the gospel give hope to us when we struggle to live faithfully in this area of our life?

Session 2 Why We Struggle and How Jesus Brings Change

Where does sexual sin come from? Why do some women face persistent temptations towards lust and pornography, while others battle against attractions towards other women? Are these struggles inborn and unchangeable and can they really be overcome? The Harvest USA Tree Model is a biblical approach to understanding these tough and important questions, which helps us unpack our personal struggles, as well as those of women we want to help.

Session 3 Understanding the Nature of Habitual Sin Struggles

The bible says that we reap a harvest from our actions, whether good or bad! How is it that sinful behavior and thought patterns develop in a woman's life and how can God's wisdom enable new patterns of life to emerge? God's word gives clear steps to take in battling against sin so that repentance from sin increases in our lives.

Session 4 Disciplehip for Struggling Sisters

Reaching out to women who are struggling with sexual sin, disordered desires and perhaps years of shame is what Christ calls us to as his people! The gospel of grace, truth and love is all we need in order to disciple women with biblical wisdom. What are the foundational components for discipling sexual strugglers?
